Regular Season Round 23: Brest - Prinemanye 79-68

There was a small surprise when ninth ranked Brest (4-17) defeated at home 7th ranked Prinemanye (5-16) 79-68 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Brest. Prinemanye managed to win second period 19-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Brest looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. It was a great evening for guard Anton Shchurko (188-97) who led his team to a victory scoring 27 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field). Forward Konstantin Solyshko (196-96) helped adding 25 points. Brest's coach used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Point guard Vladislav Svakel (178-0) responded with 19 points and 5 assists and point guard Maksim Liahchylin (175-98) scored 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Prinemanye players scored in double figures. Brest maintains ninth place with 4-17 record. Prinemanye lost their seventh game in a row. They keep the seventh position with 16 games lost. They share it with GOCOR-Sozh. Brest will again meet at home higher ranked Prinemanye (#7) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Prinemanye will have a break next round.
