The game in Gomel was also quite interesting. Fifth ranked Impuls BGUIR (11-8) played at the court of 8th ranked GOCOR-Sozh (5-16). Impuls BGUIR managed to secure a 7-point victory 82-75 on Friday. The guests trailed by 9 points at the halftime before their 47-31 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Impuls BGUIR outrebounded GOCOR-Sozh 47-29 including 17 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for Genadziy Zahar (200-92) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Yuriy Ignatev (202-91) helped adding 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Point guard Tsimafei Viaroukin (186-93) responded with 28 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Evgeniy Starostenko (180-92) scored 13 points and 5 rebounds. The victory was the ninth consecutive win for Impuls BGUIR. They moved-up to fourth place. GOCOR-Sozh lost their thirteenth game in a row. They dropped to the seventh position with 16 games lost. They share it with Prinemanye. Impuls BGUIR will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. GOCOR-Sozh will play again against Impuls BGUIR (#4) and hope to secure a win.
