Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both eleventh ranked Kymis and 12th ranked Koroivos had identical 4-7 record. But Koroivos was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Kymis 73-59 on Saturday night. The game without a history. Kymis led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. The game was dominated by American players. Worth to mention a great performance of center Gary McGhee (209-88, college: Pittsburgh, agency: Inception Sports) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 10 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Lenzelle Smith-Jr (193-91, college: Ohio St.) who added 15 points and 5 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was guard Quenton DeCosey (196-93, college: Temple) with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Marcus Posley (185-94, college: St.Bonaventure) scored 13 points. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Kymis (5-7) moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Aris. Loser Koroivos dropped to the eleventh position with eight games lost. They share it with G.Larissa-Faros. Kymis will meet at home higher ranked AEK (#7) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Koroivos will play against Aiolos Trikallon (#13) in Trikala and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
