Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Dublin: UCD Marian (#1) and Templeogue (#4). UCD Marian (11-2) smashed visiting Templeogue (9-5) by 19 points 85-66. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Templeogue. It was a great shooting night for UCD Marian especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 60.0 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Mike Garrow (193-91, college: E.Connecticut) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points and 18 rebounds and the former international point guard Conor Meany (185-86) who added 12 points and 14 assists during the contest. At the losing side the former international forward Michael Bonaparte (196-82, college: Coll.of the Ozarks) responded with 11 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists and the former international center Jason Killeen (211-85, college: Augusta) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Templeogue's coach rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. UCD Marian have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 11-2 record. Templeogue at the other side keeps the fourth place with five games lost. They share the position with Swords Thunder. UCD Marian will play against Maree (#11) in Galway in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Templeogue will play on the road against UCC Demons (#6) in Cork and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
