Regular Season Round 17: La Charite - SAP Vaucluse 84-91

There was a surprise result when fourteenth ranked SAP Vaucluse (6-11) defeated on the road higher ranked La Charite (9-8) 91-84 on Saturday. SAP Vaucluse dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to La Charite's 28. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Montenegrin power forward Zarko Rakocevic (204-84, agency: Mansfield and Associates) stepped up and scored 19 points and 6 rebounds for the winners and point guard Yann Siegwarth (180-93) chipped in 15 points and 7 assists. American point guard Deremy Geiger (181-90, college: Idaho, agency: Blacktop Management) responded with 18 points and Lens Aboudou (187-90) scored 15 points and 5 rebounds. Five SAP Vaucluse and four La Charite players scored in double figures. SAP Vaucluse maintains fourteenth place with 6-11 record, which they share with GET Vosges and Lourdes. Newly promoted La Charite dropped to the sixth position with eight games lost. SAP Vaucluse will face higher ranked SO Maritime Boulogne (#10) in Boulogne-sur-Mer in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
