Rather predictable result when fifth ranked Tampereen Pyrinto (13-9) defeated at home 7th ranked BC Nokia (11-12) 87-76. The game without a history. Tampereen Pyrinto led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. The winners were led by the former international point guard Antero Lehto (185-84) who scored that evening 18 points and 6 assists and American forward Devonne Giles (203-83, college: Texas Tech) supported him with 15 points. Even 21 points by Canadian guard Devoe Joseph (193-90, college: Oregon) did not help to save the game for BC Nokia. Serbian power forward Dragan Labovic (207-87, agency: Alti Sport) added 10 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Tampereen Pyrinto moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Helsinki Seagulls. BC Nokia at the other side keeps the seventh position with 12 games lost. Tampereen Pyrinto will play against Lapuan Korikobrat (#10) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. BC Nokia will have a break next round.
