There was an upset in Madrid where higher ranked Distrito Olimpico (4-9) was defeated by thirteenth ranked Adareva (3-11) 74-68 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 13 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 6 points. Strangely Distrito Olimpico outrebounded Adareva 40-24 including a 27-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Chilean point guard Sendy Basaez (170-96) scored 20 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and forward Eva Serra (183-83) chipped in 17 points during the contest. Center Daira Varas (193-89) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds and Blanca Ruiz-de-Asin (175-97) scored 13 points and 5 assists. Distrito Olimpico's coach Juan Manuel Ruiz rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Adareva moved-up to twelfth place in Group B, which they share with Almeria and Olimpico 64. Distrito Olimpico lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with nine games lost. Adareva will face higher ranked CVCD Granada (#10) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
