Very predictable result in Malaga where third ranked Medacbasket (9-4) defeated 9th ranked Multiopticas Baza (1-11) 81-70 on Saturday. The game without a history. Medacbasket led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. It was a great evening for American forward Deshawn Curtis (198-92, college: Cheyney) who led his team to a victory scoring 32 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Pablo Imbroda (-95) helped adding 13 points and 5 assists. Medacbasket's coach used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side center Jorge Rodriguez (198-94) responded with 18 points and 7 rebounds and point guard David Garcia (180-93) scored 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Medacbasket have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They moved-up to second place in Group D-A, which they share with Marbella. Multiopticas Baza lost eleventh consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with 11 games lost. Medacbasket will face league's leader Cazorla on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Multiopticas Baza will play against Unicaja-Andalucia (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
