Regular Season Round 15: Pau-Lacq-Orthez - Cholet 53-95

ProA U21 top team - Cholet (14-0) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed sixteenth ranked Pau-Lacq-Orthez (2-13) 95-53. Cholet dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Pau-Lacq-Orthez's 36. Cholet forced 20 Pau-Lacq-Orthez turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was center Warren Woghiren (207-98) who had a double-double by scoring 25 points and 12 rebounds. Guard Yannis Thalgott (191-98) chipped in 22 points. Four Cholet players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was center Thibault Daval-Braquet (210-97) who recorded 13 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Damien Larribau (185-98) added 11 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Pau-Lacq-Orthez's coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the fourteenth consecutive win for Cholet. They maintain first place with 14-0 record. Pau-Lacq-Orthez lost their sixth game in a row. They dropped to the seventeenth position with 13 games lost. Cholet will meet Boulazac (#15) on the road in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Pau-Lacq-Orthez will play against the league's second-placed Strasbourg U21 and hope to secure a win.
