Regular Season Round 14: CVCD Granada - Promete 76-83

There was a minor upset when 10th ranked CVCD Granada (4-10) was defeated at home by twelfth ranked Promete (3-10) 83-76 on Saturday. It was a great shooting night for Promete especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.6 percentage. CVCD Granada was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Forward Laura Arroyo (181-91) had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American forward Sune Swart (190-95, college: Bucknell) chipped in 21 points during the contest. Bosnian center Aleksandra Begenisic (193-89) responded with 25 points and 8 rebounds and Patricia Fernandez scored 10 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Four CVCD Granada players scored in double figures. Promete moved-up to eleventh place in Group B. CVCD Granada lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the tenth position with ten games lost. Promete will face higher ranked Picken Claret (#8) in Valencia in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
