Regular Season Round 19: Mataro Parc Boet - Sant Adria 77-97

There was a minor upset when 4th placed Mataro Parc Boet (7-6) was outplayed at home by ninth ranked Sant Adria (7-6) 97-77 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Sant Adria. Mataro Parc Boet was better in second period 25-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great evening for swingman Albert Serra (193-93) who led his team to a victory scoring 29 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Point guard Jaume Lobo (180-97) helped adding 21 points. Sant Adria's coach Mario Lousame used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side American forward Faronte Drakeford (201-92, college: Cent.Conn.St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds and forward Eric Manes (194-87) scored 20 points and 9 rebounds. Sant Adria moved-up to seventh place in Group C-A, which they share with defeated Mataro Parc Boet. Sant Adria will face Roser (#14) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
