Regular Season Round 16: Dijon - Strasbourg 65-77
Date: January 13, 2018
Not a big story in a game when 9th ranked JDA Dijon (7-9) lost at home to fifth ranked SIG Strasbourg (10-6) 77-65 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by SIG Strasbourg. JDA Dijon was better in third quarter 20-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. SIG Strasbourg looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a very good performance for international power forward Louis Labeyrie (208-92) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 8 rebounds. American-Bosnian guard Zack Wright (188-85, college: Central Mo.) contributed with 6 points and 10 assists for the winners. SIG Strasbourg's coach Vincent Collet used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. American forward Ryan Pearson (198-90, college: George Mason, agency: Inception Sports) replied with 16 points and swingman Valentin Bigote (196-92) added 13 points in the effort for JDA Dijon. SIG Strasbourg moved-up to third place, which they share with Limoges. Loser JDA Dijon dropped to the tenth position with nine games lost. SIG Strasbourg will face Pau-Lacq-Orthez (#13) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. JDA Dijon will play against the league's second-placed Le Mans and hope to win that game.
