Not a big story in a game when 8th ranked Sestu (7-10) was defeated on the road by fifth ranked Roma Luiss (12-5) 73-57 on Saturday. Swingman Antongiulio Bonaccorso (197-97) stepped up and scored 21 points (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners and guard Andrea Scuderi (188-92, agency: Players Group) chipped in 16 points. Giuliano Samoggia (200-83) responded with 17 points and swingman Giuseppe Floridia (192-99) scored 7 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Roma Luiss moved-up to third place in B, which they share with Crema. Newly promoted Sestu dropped to the tenth position with ten games lost. Roma Luiss will face Cassino (#6) on the road in the next round. Sestu will play against Scauri (#7) and hope to win that game.
