Rather predictable result when tenth ranked Faenza (7-7) outscored at home 13th ranked Cagliari V. (2-12) 65-43 on Saturday. They outrebounded Cagliari V. 43-32 including 30 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for forward Lucia Morsiani (186-92) who led her team to a victory scoring 13 points and 7 rebounds. The former international forward Simona Ballardini (181-81) helped adding 17 points (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). The best for the losing side was power forward Francesca Orsini (185-95) with 13 points and 6 rebounds and Bulgarian point guard Iva Georgieva (170-96, college: Salt Lake CC) scored 8 points and 10 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Faenza moved-up to seventh place in A2. Loser Cagliari V. dropped to the fourteenth position with 12 games lost.
