Regular Season Round 12: Zadar - Pula C.Tours 83-89

The most interesting game of round 12 in the Prva Liga was a home defeat of 8th ranked KK Zadar (5-6) to fifth ranked Pula C.Tours (6-5) 89-83. The guests trailed by 11 points after first quarter, but they rallied back winning next two quarters and won the game by 6 points. Pula C.Tours made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. They also forced 23 KK Zadar turnovers. Strangely KK Zadar outrebounded Pula C.Tours 42-26 including 16 on the offensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international guard Lana Packovski (170-94) who helped to win the game recording 30 points, 7 assists and 4 steals and center Maja Ramljak (185-88) who added 16 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was forward Lara Nikpalj (184-89) with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 17 rebounds and 6 assists and power forward Ana Vrsaljko (188-84) scored 20 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Pula C.Tours maintains fifth position with 6-5 record, which they share with Split. KK Zadar at the other side dropped to the seventh place with six games lost. They share the position with Sibenik. Pula C.Tours is looking forward to face bottom-ranked Dubrava (#11) in Zagreb in the next round where they are favorite. KK Zadar will have a break next round.
