Regular Season Round 15: Moutahed - Champville 78-73

The game between third ranked Champville (11-4) and sixth ranked Al Moutahed (8-7) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. Champville was defeated by Al Moutahed in a tough game in Tripoli 73-78. It was a good game for American guard Demarius Bolds (193-84, college: Missouri Western) who led his team to a victory with 26 points and 8 rebounds. International point guard Jad Khalil (186-96) contributed with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Bolds is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Al Moutahed players scored in double figures. The former international forward Fadi El-Khatib (198-79) answered with a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!), 12 rebounds and 7 assists and American guard Brandon Young (193-91, college: De Paul, agency: Two Points) added 12 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists in the effort for Champville. Al Moutahed moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Beirut Club. Champville at the other side keeps the third position with four games lost. They share it with Sagesse. Al Moutahed is looking forward to face league's second-placed Al Riyadi in Beirut in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Champville will play at home against the league's leader Homenetmen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
