Regular Season Round 24: Beijing - Shenyang 92-72

WCBA top team - Beijing Great Wall (20-4) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed thirteenth ranked Shenyang Golden Lions (6-18) 92-72. Beijing Great Wall dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Shenyang Golden Lions' 32. Beijing Great Wall players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Shenyang Golden Lions' players. Worth to mention a quality performance of international Song Gao (188-92) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and American center Sylvia Fowles (198-85, college: LSU) who added 14 points and 5 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) during the contest. Four Beijing Great Wall players scored in double figures. Beijing Great Wall's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was the former international forward Shuang Zhao (188-90) with 23 points and 5 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) and the former international swingman Jiabao Jin (184-93) scored 15 points. Beijing Great Wall have an impressive ten-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 20-4 record. Shenyang Golden Lions lost ninth consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth place with 18 games lost. Beijing Great Wall will play against league's second-placed Xinjiang in Urumqi in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Shenyang Golden Lions will play at home against Bayi Kylin (#9) and hope to get back on the winning track.
