Third ranked Antwerp Giants (9-3) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging second-best Belfius Mons-Hainaut (9-5) 81-78 in the game for the second place. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Belfius Mons-Hainaut. The game was dominated by American players. It was a good game for point guard Paris Lee (183-95, college: Illinois St.) who led his team to a victory with 13 points and 9 assists. Guard Jason Clark (188-90, college: Georgetown) contributed with 11 points for the winners. Four Antwerp Giants players scored in double figures. Swingman Garlon Green (201-91, college: TCU) answered with 23 points and 6 rebounds and guard Chris Jones (188-93, college: Angelo St.) added 16 points in the effort for Belfius Mons-Hainaut. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Antwerp Giants have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to second place. Belfius Mons-Hainaut at the other side dropped to the third position with five games lost. They share it with Aalstar. Antwerp Giants will play against Liege Basket (#8) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Belfius Mons-Hainaut will play against Basic-Fit Brussels (#9) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
