The game between closely ranked teams ended with 9th ranked Andujar's (1-11) road loss to eighth ranked Almeria (6-6) 84-88 on Sunday. Almeria forced 27 Andujar turnovers and had a 20-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Andujar was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for point guard Roberto Rueda (182-86) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points. Jesus Moral (-92) helped adding 10 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. At the losing side forward Javier Anton (198) responded with 22 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Daniel Munoz (188-87) scored 20 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Almeria moved-up to seventh place in Group D-A, which they share with Unicaja-Andalucia. Andujar lost eighth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom position with 11 games lost. Almeria will face higher ranked CAM E.Soler (#4) in Melilla in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Andujar will play at home against the league's second-placed Marbella (#2) having rather not much hope for a victory.
