Regular Season Round 18: Aishin AW - Niigata R. 73-68

Bottom-ranked Niigata R. (0-18) is still winless. This time they lost on the road their 18th consecutive match to tenth ranked Aishin Wings (5-13) 73-68 on Sunday evening. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Aishin Wings made 17-of-19 free shots (89.5 percent) during the game. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Aishin Wings made 8 blocks. The best player for the winners was Kiho Miyashita (178-98) who scored 16 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Aishin Wings moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Haneda Vickies. Loser Niigata R. still closes the standings. Aishin Wings will meet Haneda Vickies (#10) in the next round. Niigata R. will play against Toyota B SR and hopes to get finally their first victory.
