Regular Season Round 19: Huelva - Cordobasket 70-68

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 3rd placed Cordobasket (7-6) was edged on the road by fourth ranked Huelva (7-6) 70-68 on Sunday. It was a great evening for forward Fulgencio Casanova (195-86) who led his team to a victory scoring 15 points and 8 rebounds. American guard Jeremiah Davis-III (190-93, college: Florida Southern) helped adding 11 points and 6 rebounds. Four Huelva players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Arturo Lopez (188-92) responded with 18 points and 5 rebounds and Venezuelan forward Albert Arias (194-89) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 14 rebounds. Huelva moved-up to third place in Group D-B, which they share with defeated Cordobasket. Huelva will face San Juan (#8) in San Juan del Puerto in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Cordobasket will play at home against Jaguarzo Adepla (#9) and hope to win that game.
