Regular Season Round 17: Firenze All Foods - San Miniato 75-55

Everything went according to plan when second ranked Firenze All Foods (14-3) outscored at home 10th ranked San Miniato (7-10) 75-55 on Sunday. Firenze All Foods dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to San Miniato's 26. Point guard Alessandro Grande (183-94) stepped up and scored 14 points and 8 assists for the winners and swingman Jacopo Lucarelli (197-96, agency: Players Group) chipped in 9 points and 10 rebounds. Four Firenze All Foods players scored in double figures. Guard Ferdinando Nasello (187-95, agency: Octagon Europe) responded with 9 points and 6 rebounds and guard Tommaso Tempestini (180-87, agency: Players Group) scored 9 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Firenze All Foods maintains second place in B with 14-3 record having just two points less than leader San Severo, which they share with Piacenza. Loser San Miniato keeps the tenth position with ten games lost. Firenze All Foods will face Omnia Basket (#8) in Pavia in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. San Miniato will play at home against LTC Sangiorg. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
