Regular Season Round 15: Sagesse - Byblos 89-82

No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Sagesse (11-4) beat 9th ranked Byblos (2-13) in Beirut 89-82 on Sunday. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Dewayne Jackson (203-90, college: Morgan St., agency: Higher Vision Sports) who led the winners and scored 29 points and 4 assists. The former international Jasmon Youngblood (195-84, college: Kent St.) accounted for 18 points for the winning side. Four Sagesse players scored in double figures. American guard Devin Brooks (186-92, college: Creighton) came up with 31 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import guard Allan Ray (188-84, college: Villanova) added 27 points respectively for Byblos in the defeat. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Sagesse. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Champville. Byblos lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the ninth position with 13 games lost. Sagesse will meet CS Antonins (#8) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Byblos will play against Louaize and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
