Regular Season Round 16: Monaco - Limoges 105-90

An interesting game for Monaco (13-3) which hosted in Monaco 3rd ranked Limoges CSP Elite (10-6). First ranked Monaco had an easy win 105-90. The game was mostly controlled by Monaco. Limoges CSP Elite managed to win second period 27-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Monaco made 27-of-32 free shots (84.4 percent) during the game. Monaco outrebounded Limoges CSP Elite 37-19 including a 26-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists. 24 personal fouls committed by Limoges CSP Elite helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of international guard Paul Lacombe (190-90, agency: BeoBasket) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. American swingman Christopher Evans (203-91, college: Kent St., agency: Diamond Sports) contributed with 19 points and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. American point guard Kenny Hayes (186-87, college: Miami, OH, agency: BeoBasket) replied with 21 points and 4 assists and his fellow American import point guard Dru Joyce (182-85, college: Akron) added 13 points and 6 assists in the effort for Limoges CSP Elite. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Monaco have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 13-3 record. Limoges CSP Elite at the other side keeps the third place with six games lost. They share the position with Strasbourg. Monaco are looking forward to face JSF Nanterre (#5) on the road in the next round. Limoges CSP Elite will play against Gravelines-Dunkerque and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
