The game between second ranked Armani Milano (11-4) and fourth ranked Umana Venezia (11-4) was the most important one in the last round on Sunday night. Armani Milano was defeated by Umana Venezia in a tough game in Milano 80-84. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Armani Milano. It was a good game for American-Georgian point guard Marquez Haynes (191-86, college: Texas Arlington) who led his team to a victory with 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. American forward Mitchell Watt (208-89, college: Buffalo) contributed with 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Umana Venezia players scored in double figures. American guard Andrew Goudelock (190-88, college: Charleston) answered with 28 points and 5 rebounds and Lithuanian power forward Arturas Gudaitis (211-93) added 17 points and 11 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots) in the effort for Armani Milano. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Umana Venezia have a solid series of four victories in a row. Defending champion moved-up to second place, which they share with EA7 Armani and Germani BR. Umana Venezia is looking forward to face Openjobmetis VA (#15) in Varese in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Armani Milano will play at home against Vanoli Cremona (#8) and is hoping to win this game.
