Regular Season Round 15: Dolomiti En. TR - Scandone AV 83-94

Serie A top team - Scandone AV (12-3) managed to deliver another win on Sunday. This time they beat eighth ranked Dolomiti En. TR (7-8) in Trento 94-83. Scandone AV made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. It was a quality performance for American guard Jason Rich (191-86) who led the winners and scored 33 points (!!!) (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). British-Canadian forward Thomas Scrubb (198-91) accounted for 22 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winning side. Scandone AV's coach Stefano Sacripanti used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American swingman Dominique Sutton (198-86, college: N.C.Central) came up with 27 points and the other American import power forward Dustin Hogue (198-92, college: Iowa St.) added 13 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Dolomiti En. TR in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Scandone AV have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place with 12-3 record. Loser Dolomiti En. TR dropped to the tenth position with eight games lost. Scandone AV will meet Grissin Bon RE (#12) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Dolomiti En. TR will play against Virtus Bologna and hope to secure a win.
