Winner League top team - Maccabi T-A (11-2) added another victory to their record. This time they beat eleventh ranked Bnei Hasharon (3-10) in Hod Hasharon 90-86. Bnei Hasharon was ahead by 6 points at the halftime before a 26-14 third quarter run of Maccabi T-A. They made 20-of-24 charity shots (83.3 percent) during the game. Maccabi T-A outrebounded Bnei Hasharon 35-23 including 24 on the defensive glass. International forward Karam Mashour (198-91, college: Morehead St., agency: 3Eye) nailed 17 points and 7 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) for the winning side and American DeShaun Thomas (201-91, college: Ohio St.) accounted for 13 points and 7 rebounds. Maccabi T-A's coach Neven Spahija allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American forward Jeff Adrien (201-86, college: Connecticut) came up with 27 points and 8 rebounds and guard Tom Maayan (186-93, college: Seton Hall) added 12 points and 6 assists respectively for Bnei Hasharon in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Maccabi T-A maintains first place with 11-2 record. Bnei Hasharon at the other side dropped to the bottom position with ten games lost. Maccabi T-A will play against Galil Gilboa (#4) in Rosh Pina in the next round. Bnei Hasharon will play on the road against Hapoel Holon (#3) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
