There was an upset when 4th placed CCC Polkowice (9-5) was defeated at home by eighth ranked AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski (8-6) 91-83 on Sunday. It was a great evening for American guard Miah Spencer (173-94, college: N.Carolina St.) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 assists. The former international forward Paulina Misiek (182-87, agency: Promotex) helped adding 28 points. The best for the losing side was Israeli-American forward Alysha Clark (178-87, college: Middle Tenn.St.) with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists and Latvian point guard Elina Dikeoulakou (173-89) scored 19 points and 5 assists. Four CCC Polkowice players scored in double figures. AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Basket Gdynia and AZS UMCS. Loser CCC Polkowice keeps the fourth position with five games lost. AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski will face Basket Gdynia (#5) at home in the next round. CCC Polkowice will play against JAS FBG in Sosnowiec and hope to win that game.
