Regular Season Round 16: Rosa - BM Slam Stal 80-74

Everything could happen in Radom at the game between two tied teams. Both ninth ranked Rosa and 10th ranked BM Slam Stal had identical 8-7 record. This time Rosa used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Ostrow Wlkp. 80-74 on Sunday night. BM Slam Stal was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Rosa made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Rosa made 7 blocks. It was a very good performance for American guard Kevin Punter (188-93, college: Tennessee) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 4 assists. International swingman Michal Sokolowski (196-92) contributed with 20 points for the winners. Four Rosa players scored in double figures. American point guard Aaron Johnson (173-88, college: UAB, agency: Two Points) replied with 24 points and 5 assists and the former international center Adam Lapeta (217-87, agency: Alti Sport) added 12 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for BM Slam Stal. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Rosa (9-7) moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Polpharma. Loser BM Slam Stal dropped to the eleventh position with eight games lost. Rosa will face GTK (#16) in Gliwice in the next round and are hoping to win another game. BM Slam Stal will play at home against PGE Turow (#5) and hope to win that game.
