Regular Season Round 13: Galil Gilboa - Ironi Nes-Ziona 77-91

An interesting game took place in Rosh Pina where 4th placed Galil Gilboa (7-6) was upset on its own court by eleventh ranked Ironi Nes-Ziona (4-9) 91-77. Galil Gilboa was ahead by 4 points at the halftime before a 48-30 second half run of Ironi Nes-Ziona. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Puerto Rican guard Gary Browne (185-93, college: W.Virginia, agency: Inception Sports) who helped to win the game recording 14 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists. American swingman Daequan Cook (196-87, college: Ohio St.) contributed with 20 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. American DAngelo Harrison (193-93, college: St.John's, agency: 3Eye) answered with 20 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and the other American import point guard JCovan Brown (188-90, college: Texas, agency: 3Eye) added 18 points in the effort for Galil Gilboa. Five Ironi Nes-Ziona and four Galil Gilboa players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Ironi Nes-Ziona moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Maccabi Haifa. Galil Gilboa at the other side keeps the fourth position with six games lost. Ironi Nes-Ziona's next round opponent will be Maccabi Haifa (#10) at home. Galil Gilboa will play against the league's leader Maccabi T-A (#1) having rather not much hope for a victory.
