Regular Season Round 14: Nantes - Orleans 59-77

ProB top team - Entente Orleans 45 (13-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they beat ninth ranked Nantes (6-8) 77-59. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Nantes. The game was mostly controlled by Entente Orleans 45. Nantes was better in fourth quarter 15-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Strangely Nantes outrebounded Entente Orleans 45 37-25 including 22 on the defensive glass. Puerto Rican point guard Alexander Abreu (180-91, college: W.Georgia) scored 18 points, 6 assists and 4 steals to lead the charge for the winners and American forward Marcellus Sommerville (200-82, college: Bradley, agency: Inception Sports) chipped in 15 points during the contest. Naturalized Ivorian swingman Guy-Landry Edi (202-88, college: Gonzaga, agency: Promotex) responded with 15 points and 5 assists and American Christopher McKnight (201-87, college: Akron, agency: Octagon Europe) scored 16 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Entente Orleans 45 have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 13-1 record. Nantes at the other side dropped to the tenth place with eight games lost. They share the position with Caen. Entente Orleans 45 will play against Chorale de Roanne (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Nantes will play against ALM Evreux (#14) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
