Regular Season Round 14: Roanne - Quimper 102-94

There was no surprise when 17th ranked Quimper UJAP (2-12) lost on the road to third ranked Chorale de Roanne (11-3) 102-94 on Tuesday. Clement Cavallo (200-90) notched a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) to lead the effort and American swingman Jason Williams (198-83, college: UTEP) supported him with 20 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Even a double-double of 19 points and 14 rebounds by American forward Kammeon Holsey (203-90, college: Georgia Tech) did not help to save the game for Quimper UJAP. Point guard Maxime Choplin (181-92) added 12 points and 8 assists for the guests. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Quimper UJAP's coach tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Chorale de Roanne moved-up to second place, which they share with Blois and Lille. Quimper UJAP lost twelfth consecutive game. They keep the seventeenth position with 12 games lost. Chorale de Roanne will meet league's leader Entente Orleans 45 on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Quimper UJAP will play against Charleville-Mezieres (#18) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
