Very important is a road loss of second ranked Golden Stars (19-8) against ninth ranked Leopards (17-10) on Tuesday night. Visiting Golden Stars were crushed by Leopards in Shenzhen 129-103. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Golden Stars. Leopards dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Golden Stars' 32 and made 25-of-31 charity shots (80.6 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Golden Stars 54-35 including a 38-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. Golden Stars were plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for American forward Jared Sullinger (206-92, college: Ohio St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 40 points (!!!), 31 rebounds and 8 assists. The former international forward QuAn Gu (202-92) helped adding 30 points. The best for the losing side was American point guard Ty Lawson (180-87, college: N.Carolina) with 25 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and international forward Yanyuhang Ding (200-93) scored 19 points and 6 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Golden Stars' coach gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Leopards moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Beijing D. and Xinjiang FT. Golden Stars at the other side dropped to the fourth position with eight games lost. They share it with Guangdong ST. Leopards will play against Eagles (#16) in Qingdao in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Golden Stars will play on the road against Long-Lions (#11) in Guangzhou and hope to get back on the winning track.
