No shocking result in a game in Vimpeli where fourth ranked ViVe (10-6) defeated 8th ranked Forssan Alku (4-12) 91-75 on Wednesday. The game without a history. ViVe led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. ViVe outrebounded Forssan Alku 44-30 including 33 on the defensive glass. The game was also dominated by American players. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Pachis Roberts (180-94, college: Georgia) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds and guard Sydney Coffey (183-93, college: Marist, agency: LBM Management) who added 17 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Coffey is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four ViVe players scored in double figures. ViVe's coach Jarkko Havu used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side forward Mia Loyd (180-94, college: N.Dakota) responded with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 12 rebounds and guard Alex Green (168-92, college: Stanford) scored 10 points and 4 assists. ViVe maintains fourth position with 10-6 record. Forssan Alku lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with 12 games lost. ViVe will meet league's second-placed Tapiolan Honka on the road in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Forssan Alku will play against Helmi Basket (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
