Regular Season Round 27: Bayi R. - Xinjiang FT 92-104

No shocking result in a game when eighth ranked Xinjiang Flying Tige (17-10) beat bottom-ranked Bayi Rockets (3-24) in Ningbo 104-92 on Wednesday. Xinjiang Flying Tige outrebounded Bayi Rockets 59-40 including a 25-13 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a good game for the former international power forward TongLin Sun (208-92) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists. American-Bulgarian point guard Darius Adams (188-89, college: Indianapolis, agency: Dutt Sports Services) contributed with 24 points and 4 assists for the winners. Five Xinjiang Flying Tige players scored in double figures. Forward Liu Hang (203-93) answered with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 12 rebounds and international center Hao Fu (206-97) added 16 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Bayi Rockets. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending champion moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Beijing D. and Shenzhen L. Bayi Rockets lost sixth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 24 lost games. Xinjiang Flying Tige will face league's leader Zhejiang Guangsha Lions in Hangzhou in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Bayi Rockets will play at home against Sharks (#13) and hope to win that game.
