The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Al Gharafa (12-2) in Doha on Wednesday night. Hosts were edged by fifth ranked Al Sadd (8-6) 83-82. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Al Gharafa. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Albanian forward Mike Moser (203-90, college: Oregon) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 27 points and 12 rebounds and American Julius Coles (193-89, college: Canisius) who added 18 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. At the losing side international forward Sammy Monroe (198-85, college: Newberry) responded with a triple-double by scoring 17 points, 17 rebounds and 11 assists and American forward Mychal Ammons (198-92, college: S.Alabama) produced a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds. Al Sadd have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fifth position with 8-6 record. Al Gharafa at the other side still keeps top place with two games lost. Al Sadd's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Doha to the arena Qatar Sports Club.
