There was a minor upset in Junin where 6th ranked Argentino (6-6) was defeated by sixth ranked Weber Bahia (6-5) 78-73 on Wednesday. Weber Bahia made 16-of-18 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. It was a great shooting night for Weber Bahia especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. The best player for the winners was the former international Hernan Jasen (199-78) who scored 14 points and 5 rebounds. International Maximo Fjellerup (198-97) chipped in 15 points and 5 rebounds. Four Weber Bahia players scored in double figures. Weber Bahia's coach Sebastian Ginobili used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American forward John Millsap (198-82, college: UTSA, agency: Interperformances) produced 16 points and 5 rebounds and guard Luciano Massarelli (183-93) added 8 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists respectively for the hosts. Weber Bahia have an impressive series of five victories in a row. Despite that victory Weber Bahia went down to seventh position due to points difference. Loser Argentino dropped to the eighth place with six games lost. Weber Bahia will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Argentino will play against Hispano Am. (#16) in Rio Gallegos and hope to secure a win.
