An interesting game for Al-Ahli (17-4) which hosted in Manama 4th ranked Al-Nweidrat (14-7). Second ranked Al-Ahli managed to get a 4-point victory 82-78. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Al-Nweidrat. Al-Ahli looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Kadhem Majed who helped to win the game recording 21 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Hussain Shaker contributed with 14 points and 9 assists for the winners. Bosnian-Serbian center Mile Ilic (215-84) replied with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 23 rebounds and 5 assists and Jawad Abdulla added 13 points and 9 assists in the effort for Al-Nweidrat. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Al-Ahli maintains second position with 17-4 record having just one point less than leader Al-Manama. Al-Nweidrat at the other side keeps the fourth place with seven games lost. Al-Ahli's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Manama to the arena Samaheej.
