Bottom-ranked Hottur (0-14) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 102-94 loss to tenth ranked Valur (5-9) in Reykjavik. It looked good early as Hottur took a 4-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Valur had a 25-15 second period charge getting the lead and Hottur was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 94-102. Valur's coach Agust Bjorgvinsson allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 31 points, 6 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals by American guard Kelvin Lewis (195-88, college: Houston) did not help to save the game for Hottur. The former international forward Mirko Virijevic (201-81, college: Freed-Hardeman, agency: Athleadz) added 24 points and 13 rebounds for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Valur moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Thor Thorl.
