We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when sixth ranked Tokyo Z (11-19) defeated at home 5th ranked Aomori Watts (8-22) 88-77 on Friday. They outrebounded Aomori Watts 43-31 including 34 on the defensive glass. Tokyo Z looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a good game for Latvian center Ricmonds Vilde (211-90, college: Houston Baptist) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds. Guard Tatsuya Nishiyama (171-88) contributed with 12 points and 9 assists for the winners. American forward Joe Burton (201-90, college: Oregon St.) replied with 16 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Keisuke Aita (182-95) added 15 points in the effort for Aomori Watts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Tokyo Z maintains sixth position with 11-19 record.
