Regular Season Round 25: Vitebsk - RCOP Tsmoki 93-62

Very expected game when 10th ranked RCOP Tsmoki (2-20) was crushed on the road by fifth ranked Vitebsk (12-11) 93-62. The game was mostly controlled by Vitebsk. RCOP Tsmoki was better in third quarter 23-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Vitebsk forced 24 RCOP Tsmoki turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. 26 personal fouls committed by RCOP Tsmoki helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of Yahor Patupchik (191-94) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 6 rebounds. The former international guard Maksim Shustov (188-86) contributed with 21 points and 4 assists for the winners. Vitebsk's coach felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Herman Plotnikau (193-0) answered with 17 points and 7 rebounds and Daniil Barysevich (191-1) added 14 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for RCOP Tsmoki. Vitebsk moved-up to fourth place. Newly promoted RCOP Tsmoki stay dead last with 20 lost games. Vitebsk's next round opponent will be again bottom-ranked RCOP Tsmoki (#10) in Minsk which should be theoretically another easy game.
