Regular Season Round 13: Pelita Jaya - Satya Wacana 97-65

The game between Top Four teams took place in Jakarta. Leader host Pelita Jaya (9-0) smashed 4th placed Satya Wacana (3-6) 97-65. Pelita Jaya dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Satya Wacana's 36. Pelita Jaya forced 22 Satya Wacana turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Pelita Jaya made 7 blocks. American guard Wayne Bradford (193-92, college: Davenport) stepped up and scored 20 points and 5 assists for the winners and American-Bahrain center Chester Giles (211-85, college: Oregon St.) chipped in 14 points and 11 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!). Five Pelita Jaya players scored in double figures. Pelita Jaya's coach felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American guard Madarious Gibbs (185-93, college: Texas Southern) responded with 22 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists and the other American import forward JT Sulton (203-91, college: Middle Tenn.St.) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds. Pelita Jaya have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 9-0 record. Satya Wacana at the other side keeps the fourth position with six games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
