No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Okapi Aalstar (10-5) crushed at home 7th ranked Kangoeroes (5-10) 91-70 on Friday. Okapi Aalstar made 17-of-19 free shots (89.5 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 60.0 percentage. The winners were led by the former international swingman Olivier Troisfontaines (196-89) who scored that evening 20 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and American Bill Amis (206-87, college: Hawaii, agency: Pensack Sports) supported him with 12 points and 5 rebounds. Troisfontaines is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Okapi Aalstar players scored in double figures. Coach Jean-Marc Jaumin's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Even a double-double of 14 points and 11 rebounds by Senegalese power forward Pape Badji (208-92) did not help to save the game for Kangoeroes. American point guard Kenyon McNeaill (185-91, college: Louisiana Tech) added 15 points and 6 assists for lost side. Okapi Aalstar have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. Kangoeroes lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with ten games lost. They share it with Liege. Okapi Aalstar will meet league's leader Oostende on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Kangoeroes will play against the league's second-placed Antwerp Giants (#2) and hope to secure a win.
