Regular Season Round 18: Gries/Oberhoffen - Chartres 92-76

Rather expected game in Bischwiller where 5th ranked UB Chartres (11-7) was defeated by second ranked Gries/Oberhoffen (15-2) 92-76 on Friday. Gries/Oberhoffen made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was Spanish forward Asier Zengotitabengoa (201-88) who scored 38 points (!!!). Swingman Glenn Duro (193-88) chipped in 18 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Gries/Oberhoffen's coach Ludovic Pouillart used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Will Felder (201-91, college: Miami, OH, agency: Inception Sports) who recorded 27 points and 6 rebounds (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) and swingman Kevin Bichard (195-86) added 11 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Gries/Oberhoffen have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 15-2 record behind leader Saint Vallier. Loser UB Chartres keeps the fifth place with seven games lost. Gries/Oberhoffen will face La Charite (#6) on the road in the next round. UB Chartres will play against Lorient and hope to win that game.
