Regular Season Round 18: Agustinos-Leclerc - Albacete 62-68

Very predictable result when fifth ranked Albacete (12-6) won against 10th ranked Agustinos-Leclerc (8-10) in Leon 68-62 on Friday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 21-17. But Agustinos-Leclerc won second period 14-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a good game for American center Babatunde Olumuyiwa (203-92, college: USC Upstate) who led his team to a victory with 18 points and 6 rebounds. Cuban forward Georvys Elias (199-81) contributed with 10 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Albacete's coach Alfredo Galvez allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American swingman Andre Norris (201-94, college: Dubuque, agency: Two Points) replied with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Donovan Smith (206, college: Quinnipiac) added 14 points in the effort for Agustinos-Leclerc. Albacete moved-up to fourth place. Loser Agustinos-Leclerc keeps the tenth position with ten games lost. Albacete will face Fontedoso Carrefour (#6) in Avila in the next round. Agustinos-Leclerc will play on the road against Real Canoe (#9) in Madrid and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
