Very important is a home loss of third ranked Orange Vikings (18-12) against fifth ranked Kagawa FA (13-16) on Friday night. Host Orange Vikings were crushed by Kagawa FA in Matsuyama 100-56. Kagawa FA dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Orange Vikings' 28. They outrebounded Orange Vikings 59-36 including a 43-29 advantage in defensive rebounds. Kagawa FA looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American forward Reginald Warren (204-81, college: W.Florida) notched a double-double by scoring 20 points and 19 rebounds to lead the effort and the other American import guard Montay Brandon (203-93, college: Florida St.) supported him with 15 points and 15 rebounds. Four Kagawa FA players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 20 points and 10 rebounds by American forward Chehales Tapscott (195-90, college: Portland St.) did not help to save the game for Orange Vikings. Guard Toshino Tatsuhiko (185-88) added 6 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Kagawa FA have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Sendai 89ers. Loser Orange Vikings keep the third position with 12 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
