Rather expected game when 11th ranked Nice (3-9) was defeated on the road by ninth ranked Nantes Reze (5-7) 66-56 on Friday. Worth to mention a great performance of Canadian power forward Nayo Raincock-Ekunwe (188-91, college: Simon Fraser) who helped to win the game recording 24 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Maud Medenou (189-90) who added 13 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was naturalized Mali center Naignouma Coulibaly (191-89) with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds and the former international power forward Geraldine Robert (183-80) scored 11 points and 8 rebounds. Nantes Reze moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Hainaut. Loser Nice keeps the eleventh position with nine games lost. Nantes Reze will face bottom-ranked Roche (#12) in La Roche in the next round. Nice will play at home against Basket Landes and hope to win that game.
