No shocking result in a game in Leon where third ranked Aros Patatas (11-4) defeated 13th ranked Segle XXI (2-13) 68-53 on Saturday. Aros Patatas dominated on the defensive end, holding Segle XXI to just 6 points in fourth quarter. They outrebounded Segle XXI 47-25 including a 36-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was power forward Itsaso Conde (185-96) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds. Guard Andrea Alcantara (169-99) chipped in 17 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Helena Pueyo (182-1) who recorded 19 points and 4 assists and center Hermosa Nerea (194-1) added 12 points respectively. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Aros Patatas moved-up to second place in Group A, which they share with Barca CBS and GDKO Bizkaia. Segle XXI lost their third game in a row. They keep the thirteenth position with 13 games lost. Aros Patatas will face Oviedo (#14) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Segle XXI will play against Rioja and hope to win that game.
