No shocking result in a game when ninth ranked Real Canoe (9-9) beat on the road 12th ranked Cambados (7-11) 67-56 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 12 points after first quarter, but they stormed back and won the game by 11 points. It was a good game for Jose-Miguel Perez (202-96) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 14 rebounds. Center Jose-Maria Gil (207-91, agency: Dynamics Global Management) contributed with 6 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Real Canoe's coach Miguel Angel Aranzabal allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. British forward Will Saunders (201-91, college: Charleston So.) replied with 17 points and 8 rebounds and Argentinian guard Juan-Martin Orellano (190-89) added 12 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Cambados. Newly promoted Real Canoe maintains ninth position with 9-9 record. Cambados lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the twelfth place with 11 games lost. Real Canoe will face Agustinos-Leclerc (#10) in Leon in the next round. Cambados will play on the road against the league's second-placed HLA Alicante where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
