Super League top team - UCD Marian (12-2) added another victory to their record. This time they beat eleventh ranked Maree (4-12) in Galway 83-79. UCD Marian players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists. They brought some defensive toughness making 9 blocks. The former international point guard Conor Meany (185-86) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 12 assists for the winners and American guard Mike Garrow (193-91, college: E.Connecticut) chipped in 11 points and 21 rebounds. American forward Corey Hammell (198-94, college: Alaska-Anch.) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 21 rebounds and point guard Eoin Rockall (185-98) scored 13 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. UCD Marian have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place with 12-2 record. Maree at the other side keeps the eleventh position with 12 games lost.
